How You’ll Make Your Mark
Your main tasks in this role are:
* As a Sustainability Manager – Climate, Scope 3 in the international sustainability sector, you will work in an international and interdisciplinary project team.
* You will manage initiatives to support the company’s efforts to achieve Net Zero.
* Oversee a team dedicated to partnering with our suppliers to decarbonize our supply chains.
* Partner closely with Buying to drive climate action with strategic suppliers with a high focus on dairy and beef.
* Support the ALDI SUD Group in the launch of new technology solutions to support enhanced reporting for Scope 3.
* Support climate-related compliance readiness, working closely with internal stakeholders to assess climate-related risks and opportunities and integration into our business planning and enterprise risk management processes.
* Coordinate with relevant international and national business units (Buying, Supply Chain Management, IT, etc.) to make progress towards 2030 and 2050 targets.
Your Profile
The requirements of the role include:
* As a Sustainability Manager – Climate in the international sustainability sector, you have a degree in economics or sustainability studies.
* You have several years of experience and sound knowledge in the areas of retail, climate strategy, value chain project management, or consulting.
* Strong understanding of regenerative agriculture and supplier engagement are part of your core competencies.
* You have first experience in leading a team as well as several years of relevant professional experience in driving climate action.
* Your English skills are very good.
* You are willing to travel abroad.

Remuneration
Gross annual salary starting from €126,650,-*
* willingness to overpay with appropriate qualifications.
