The role
Are you ready to take the lead in shaping risk and compliance practices at one of Australia's leading real estate investment managers?
We are seeking a Senior Risk & Compliance Manager to join our high-performing Group Risk & Compliance Team (Line 2). Reporting to the Head of Risk and Compliance, you will be a trusted advisor to the business, partnering with our first line of defence to implement, enhance and embed our risk and compliance frameworks.
You'll play a critical part in designing governance frameworks, guiding risk-based decision-making through assurance and oversight, and building a strong culture of compliance through education and collaboration. A key focus will also be to standardise controls across the business, ensuring consistency, clarity and effectiveness in risk management practices.
What you will be doing
* Developing and implementing robust governance frameworks, controls and processes that meet legislation, regulation and industry standards.
* Overseeing the continuous improvement of risk and compliance plans, programs, policies, frameworks and systems.
* Monitoring the effective management of risk and compliance obligations.
* Educating and advising teams to uplift risk maturity and build a risk and compliance culture.
* Standardising controls across the business to ensure a consistent approach to risk.
* Collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders across the Group to embed best practices.
* Preparing clear, insightful reports for management, the ARC and the Board.
What makes you stand out
This new role requires deep experience in risk and compliance, with knowledge of legislation and the regulatory environment (ASIC, AUSTRAC & OAIC) related to a funds management business.
You will need a proven track record in the design, implementation, evaluation and monitoring of controls that support effective risk management.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills are a given, with a collaborative, can-do attitude and a willingness to roll up your sleeves to get things done.
