We are looking for a talented and motivated Lab Assistant to join our dynamic team of Microsystems experts. This is a unique opportunity to assist in the labs in various application areas, focusing on piezoelectric microsystem technologies, integrated photonics technologies, magnetic microsystem technologies and thin film characterization.
Your future tasks include:
* Support the Lab responsible with administration tasks and organizational duties
* Collaborate with the Lab responsible and lab users to ensure effective allocation and use of resources
* Organize and coordinate lab-related activities
* Manage inventory of lab supplies, consumables, and coordinate timely restocking
* Monitor and enforce safety procedures and ensure compliance with regulations
* Prepare and maintain equipment manuals, quality documents, and other documentation
* Support scientists and engineers in preparing and updating Standard Operating Procedures
* Provide assistance to the research unit(s) to support workflows and operational efficiency
* Report regularly to the Lab manager(s) and Head(s) of Research Unit(s)
Your profile
* HTL, Bachelor degree or similar in technical field
* Familiarity with laboratory equipment and basic scientific tools is advantageous
* Understanding of lab safety protocols and regulatory compliance, with the ability to follow and enforce safety procedures
* Proficient MS Office skills
* Very good knowledge of English, both oral and written
* Ability to think and work in a structured manner
* Structured way of working as well as reliability
* Service orientation as well as ability to work in a team
* Friendly and cooperative attitude, open-mindedness and good communication skills

* Part-time, ~20 hours per week

This position is subject to the Collective Agreement for employees in non-university research (Research CA) starting in occupational group D 1 (EUR 3252). We offer competitive salaries and additional benefits based on your experience and qualifications.
