Unlocking the Future of Quantum Computing
The world's most complex mathematical problems remain unsolvable for even the most powerful supercomputers. Quantum computing holds the key to these challenges, but we need to transform today's prototypes into scalable and reliable systems.
Trapped-ion quantum processors are leading the way, excelling in qubit fidelity and quantum volume, and poised for real-world impact.
Join Our Team as a Trapped-Ion Development Engineer
You will work with a passionate, international team dedicated to making quantum computing a reality.
Closely collaborating with top-tier customers and academic partners, you'll lead the industrialization of trapped-ion quantum processors.
Your new responsibilities include driving the development of cutting-edge ion trap chips and advancing their integration into quantum processing units (QPUs).
Key Responsibilities:
* Drive technology development for trapped-ion quantum processors, focusing on photonic interfaces.
* Co-develop next-generation QPUs with our commercial partners.
* Enable research through projects with academic partners.
* Supervise master and PhD students.
Requirements:
* Be a proactive individual with a passion for new technologies.
* Possess a PhD in physics, quantum engineering, photonics, computational physics or a related field.
* Bring 3+ years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, quantum optics, and/or trapped-ion quantum computing.
* Be fluent in English, with German skills or willingness to learn an asset.
Benefits:
We offer competitive salaries and additional benefits based on performance, experience, and qualification.
Employment is in accordance with the collective salary and wage agreement for employees of the electrical and electronics industry, employment group H.
