The Company
A fully owned subsidiary of Sigma Healthcare, Central Healthcare Services (CHS) is a National Wholesaler servicing Government Agencies and Hospital markets of Australia, as well as a Third-Party Logistics provider where our core expertise lies in Warehousing, Logistics and the distribution of healthcare products.
The Opportunity
Ready to make an immediate impact? Reporting to the State Logistics Manager, this role will see you accountable for the effective leadership of the State DC, comprising warehousing and logistics functions (wholesale & pre-wholesale), delivering our customer service requirements.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Manage, lead and motivate all team members
* Ensure all customer orders received within cut off times are picked, packed, invoiced in accordance with agreed practices and dispatched on time
* Ensure the DC is CSO compliant
* Ensure products are put away correctly and replenished regularly to optimize stock availability for order picking
* Manage the budget and achieve KPIs regarding revenue and profit targets, including transport and consumables
We are looking for:
* Demonstrated experience in a senior operational logistics role, with the ability to engage and motivate a team leading from the front
* Proven analytical skills and able to formulate and recommend new procedures and improve performance
* Financial acumen and the ability to interpret financial and performance data
* A strong commercial lens resulting in aligning activities and resources to deliver value to our customers
* Strategic thinking with an eye for continuous improvement
