Head of Market Access (m/f/x)

The Opportunity
Join our dynamic team in Vienna as the Head of Market Access and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of healthcare. This is a unique opportunity to lead market access strategies for a diverse portfolio of innovative and established products. You will have the chance to collaborate with key stakeholders and drive impactful changes in the healthcare landscape.
The Role
* Lead all domains of market access in Austria, ensuring optimal pricing, reimbursement, HTA positioning, stakeholder engagement, and patient access for CSL Behring’s products.
* Manage market access for a broad portfolio, including blood plasma products, recombinant protein therapies, and gene therapies, in a constantly evolving political and market environment.
* Drive mid and long-term planning, collaborating closely with internal key policy stakeholders to shape the external agenda.
* Guide and consult regional and global functions on the specific needs of the Austrian market and payer environment, especially during early medicine development processes.
* Participate in setting strategies for new product launches as an active member of the cross-functional brand team.
* Collaborate effectively as a member of the Austria Leadership Team and internal market access core teams.
* Contribute to long-term tender strategy in alignment with company strategy and in cooperation with the General Manager.
Your Skills and Experience:
* Master’s degree in business, health policy, health economics, life sciences, or another healthcare discipline.
* 5 to 8 years of experience in market access, reimbursement, pricing, or related roles within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry in Austria.
* Proven success in developing and implementing market access strategies for pharmaceutical products in Switzerland or similar markets.
* In-depth knowledge of Austrian pricing and reimbursement legislation and the healthcare system, with a clear understanding of access pathways in retail and hospital markets.
* Experience managing drug pricing, economic modeling, value propositions, reimbursement, and contracting strategies.
* Expertise in the payer environment of other countries within the cluster organization.
* Knowledge of the plasma industry commercial business model and its relation to policy and key stakeholders.
* Thorough understanding of pharmaceutical commercialization and drug development processes.
* Experience building strategic alliances and stakeholder relationships for effective outcomes, including advocacy with government officials.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and market insights.
* Strategic mindset with critical and creative problem-solving abilities.
* Fluency in German and English is required.

* This position reports to the General Manager Austria.
