CREATIVE DIRECTOR / HEAD OF INTERIOR DESIGN

In your role as a CREATIVE DIRECTOR / HEAD OF INTERIOR DESIGN, you will be responsible for articulating and refining the brand, image and strategic direction of The Furniture Gallery. You will act as the representative and advocate for the brand's core vision, involving exceptional value, outstanding service and craftsmanship, experienced within a beautiful and rich design aesthetic.
Reporting directly to the Directors, you will add significant and transparent value by:
1. Gaining an intrinsic knowledge and thorough understanding of the brand, the customer and the Furniture Gallery culture, vision, and philosophy, all of which should dictate and drive your creative direction.
2. Leading the creative direction, analysis, and strategic planning with the aim of strengthening the brand's presence across all platforms including our bespoke showrooms, media and marketing channels, website, and ecommerce, consistently reflecting the company’s culture, mission, and vision.
3. Managing and leading the design team in VM standards, as well as coordinating and implementing the VM brief.
4. Working closely with the VM/Style Director to coordinate the styling and photoshoots of new products and photographic features ensuring the Brief perfectly aligns with your creative direction.
5. Collaborating with the Buying team to procure seasonal collections that enhance the creative process.
6. Working closely with the Marketing and Social Media team to create content that is cohesive and reflects the brand's vision across all online media platforms including Google, Facebook, Instagram and so on.

In your role as the Creative Director / Head of Interior Design of The Furniture Gallery, you will work closely with clients, architects, interior designers, creatives, and influencers with the view of developing and expanding the company’s presence and influence further in the state of WA, as well as nationally.
You will be responsible for the development of all aspects of the brand to increase the brand's exposure and establish it as Perth’s and eventually Australia’s Premier Interiors Design hub.
With your established professional relationships within the design and creative industry as well as the already established FG contacts and network, you will enhance the brand and initiate fruitful collaborations with state as well as national influencers.
The Creative Director’s role is expected to develop and expand in every facet of the brand's creative output. The opportunity for the right individual to lead, mentor and drive the relevant teams through the whole process from start to finish will solidify the brand's influence as the market leader in interiors in WA and eventually nationally and internationally.
Positioning The Furniture Gallery as a market leader in beautiful design nationally and internationally.
1. Research - interstate and overseas travel for procurement and inspiration.
2. Continuously improving existing lines and brands as well as sourcing new product ideas and new designs.
3. Sales and Stock analysis to determine ordering, stock volumes, market trends, range, and showroom design planning.
4. Maintain high quality design and quality standards.
5. Attend all Sales/Design Meetings and liaise directly with State and Sales managers regarding sales, reviews and feedback.
6. Managing the evolving creative direction of marketing, visual merchandising, and branding.
To Be Successful You Will Have:
1. Proven experience as a Creative Director or Head of Design in a related industry.
2. Strong understanding of interior design trends and what drives customer engagement.
3. Diploma or Degree in Design or related field.
4. Outstanding leadership and management skills.
5. The talent to lead, inspire, and collaborate effectively across various dynamic teams.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
7. The skill of managing timelines and the creative process from concept to execution.
8. A portfolio that showcases inspiration, vision and innovation.
