Your role and responsibilities
With ACOPOS 6D, B&R is ushering in a new era in manufacturing. Magnetically levitating shuttles transport products through the machine completely individually. Gone are the days when conventional transport systems dictated a strict production cycle. ACOPOS 6D offers optimum conditions for production in small batch sizes and with constantly changing product designs. We are looking for a dedicated and experienced software developer who has excellent knowledge of C++ and a passion for robotics. In this role, you will be responsible for developing innovative software solutions that drive and optimize our ACOPOS 6D product. You will actively shape the infrastructure of the entire ecosystem and develop the software architecture, the interaction of individual software components, and the flow of information from web applications to sensor information directly on the machine.
Design, implementation and maintenance of software applications in C++ for the ACOPOS 6D product.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to analyze technical requirements and develop solutions.
Perform code reviews and tests to ensure software quality.
Optimize existing software architecture and program new functions.
Document development processes and results to ensure transparency and traceability.
Qualifications for the role
Completed education (FH Master, University) with focus on computer science, mechatronics, electrical engineering or comparable.
Several years of professional experience in the field of software development/software architecture.
Excellent programming skills in C / C++ or other object-oriented programming languages.
Very good knowledge of German and English.
Interest in the automation of mechatronic systems.
Structured, analytical and independent way of working.
High level of self-motivation and communication skills.
Enthusiasm for high-quality technical system solutions.
