Position Overview
As the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for managing the financial operations of multiple businesses, ensuring compliance, and providing key insights to senior management as well as managing internal controls and ensuring proper financial practices within a manufacturing environment. A strong background in Microsoft Access and financial systems is essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
* Financial Reporting & Compliance – Oversee P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Reporting, manage fixed assets, and ensure compliance with BAS, manage Payroll compliance obligations (FBT, Payroll Tax, RTWSA and Superannuation).
* Further develop the weekly management reports and ensure their accurate and timely completion for reporting to management.
* Operational & Cost Management – Lead cost accounting, profitability analysis, and stock control, while identifying and mitigating financial risks.
* Financial Planning & Decision Support – Provide cash flow forecasting and data analysis, and develop KPIs to drive business performance.
* Leadership & Team Oversight – Guide data entry personnel, collaborate with the General Manager on reporting, and support pricing strategies.
* Technology & Systems Expertise – Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Access is a must to support financial reporting, data analysis, and business intelligence. Experience with Xero and Thorsys is also highly desirable.
About You
* CA/CPA qualified with 5+ years of experience in financial management.
Proven experience in food manufacturing or a similar industry (highly desirable).
Strong knowledge of cost accounting, financial forecasting, and inventory control.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Experience with export sales is an advantage.
* Applicants must have an unrestricted working Visa.
