Multicultural NSW is dedicated to fostering a harmonious and cohesive society by celebrating the rich diversity of the state of NSW. Your role:
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) serves as the head of the Agency under the Government Sector Employment Act and is a key member of the Advisory Board. Reporting directly to the Minister, the CEO leads Multicultural NSW within the NSW public sector leadership framework. The CEO is responsible for developing multicultural policy and research for the NSW Public Sector, overseeing the Multicultural Policies and Services Program (MPSP), and fostering strategic partnerships to enhance community resilience. Additionally, the CEO leads Community Development programs to build and maintain a cohesive and harmonious multicultural society, enriching the lives of all community members.
What you'll do:
As the CEO you will be responsible for providing leadership, advice, and vision to shape and deliver programs for the future. You will also:
* Advise the Premier and Minister on community relations to achieve social cohesion.
* Ensure Agency's work aligns with broader Government goals and community wellbeing targets.
* Lead innovation to achieve social cohesion and community capacity building through partnerships and the Grants Program.
* Oversee the NSW Government response to the Commonwealth Humanitarian (Refugee) program and Settlement Strategy.
* Partner with community and faith organisations on capital projects for aged care, education, and community facilities.
* Lead community engagement through collaboration with all government tiers and advisory bodies.
* Drive policy development for social cohesion and community harmony, focusing on intercultural and interfaith activities.
* Realign the organisation to provide targeted multicultural policy advice and research.
* Establish an agile model for translation and interpreting services, continuing to lead the commercial Language Service operations.
* Develop transparent assessment and allocation of the Grants Program.
* Oversee compliance with the Multicultural Policies and Services Program (MPSP) in government agencies.

What we're looking for:
* Qualifications in a similar discipline or demonstrated relevant professional competency and experience.
* Deep understanding of cross-cultural issues and the role and functions of Multicultural NSW.
* Extensive experience at an Executive level in a complex organisation with diverse program or business requirements.
* Experience in executing service delivery models and organisational transformation.
* Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to build influential relationships.
