Under the general direction of the Sales Manager, the Business Development Manager is responsible for the execution of sales, account management, and to support marketing within their designated territory in support of the overall business strategy. This position is responsible for generating profitable revenue, enhancing market share, and continually looking for ways to differentiate World Courier from its competitors.
Responsibilities
* Develop and implement a strategic commercial plan to attain the country goals, while utilizing a consultative sales approach of uncovering customer business needs and positioning Cencora World Courier solutions to address those business needs. This includes managing the entirety of the sales funnel from customer segmentation and target identification to lead generation and nurturing to opportunity close and ongoing account management.
* Maintain country-wide alignment with the Commercial, Marketing, Strategy, Services, and Operations leadership to implement and drive sales effectiveness and promote the full range of solutions.
* Provide support to the Global and Key Account Management program.
* Support executing national marketing events and campaigns.
* Meet regularly with existing and prospective key customers.
* Work with the Global and Regional Sales and Marketing Team to develop and execute the Cencora World Courier go-to-market plan for all business segments.
* Interact with business development teams to support the sale and implementation of customer-tailored solutions.
* Directly manage and develop agreed local sales territory.
* Use sales and performance analytics to focus on account targeting and drive sales results.
* Review and track KPIs.
* Develop predictable revenue forecasting and take action where potential deviations are identified.
* Ensure brand and marketing compliance with all Marketing policies and processes.
Requirements
* An undergraduate degree in fields such as business administration, sales, or marketing; a Master of Business Administration is preferred.
* Alternatively, a solid education in logistics services in combination with reasonable practical experience in sales and marketing.
* Management/Supervision experience in a growing, but complex global service environment.
* Relevant direct pharmaceutical industry experience in transport logistics.
Minimum Skills, Knowledge And Ability Requirements
* Fluency in English.
* Local language is required / German language – C2.
* Written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong sense of responsibility, analytical skills, and detail-oriented ability to liaise at all levels.
* Receptive to change and new ideas, plus the ability to generate new ideas and concepts.
* Ability to work accurately & efficiently and meet tight deadlines.
* Prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities at once.
* Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision.
* Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
