**Diploma/Master's Thesis Opportunity**
Evaluate and Improve Spray Models in Coupled Simulations
Ref. No. DA141
We invite dedicated students from Chemical Engineering, Particle Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Informatics, Software Engineering, or related disciplines to participate in a paid Diploma/Master's thesis project.
Objective
This thesis aims to evaluate and improve existing spray, evaporation, and deposition models in a tablet coating device using CFD-DEM (Computational Fluid Dynamics – Discrete Element Method). The goal is to compare results such as particle temperature and moisture content with experimental values and provide recommendations for each modeling approach.
We offer the following:
* Participation in an industrially relevant research project in an international environment.
* Supervised training and guidance throughout the project.
* Assistance from experienced staff to implement innovative ideas.
* Access to state-of-the-art infrastructure at Graz University of Technology.
* Support for publishing research results.
* Adequate compensation and opportunities for personal and professional growth.
Financing
The thesis will be compensated based on a service contract.
