Centre for Modern Languages
CIT Solutions’ Centre for Modern Languages (CML) is a premier provider of language training services. We have a network of over 200 certified language trainers in more than 27 languages and deliver training to our high-value clients based in the ACT, across Australia and overseas.
Key Areas of Responsibility and Accountability
* Develop and manage the CML budget, and drive revenue growth and financial sustainability.
* Identify new business opportunities, create and execute strategies to develop business.
* Develop / maintain partnerships and relationships with clients, organisations and stakeholders to promote CML and its offerings and secure sales.
* Develop annual key account / client management plans and map stakeholders.
* Represent CML at meetings and events.
* Lead, motivate and manage CML staff, including academic and administrative staff and tutors.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop business strategies including marketing to promote CML and attract new business and clients.
* Lead development and implementation of language programs that meet market demands and the needs of learners and clients, including the design of curriculum / materials, and assessments.
* Monitor, evaluate and assess the effectiveness of language programs and courses and adjust as necessary.
* Prepare a broad range of reports for internal and external stakeholders.
* Develop policies and procedures to ensure that CML runs smoothly and efficiently.
* Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and accreditation standards.
Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience (Selection criteria)
* Qualifications relevant to commercial delivery of language training.
* Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing commercial language programs and courses.
* Excellent communication, leadership and management skills.
* Business development, client / stakeholder relationship management.
* Experience managing budgets and driving revenue growth.
* Understand current international and national trends and best practices in language teaching and learning.
* Ability to work effectively with diverse students, instructors, staff and community members.
* Fluency in more than one language is desirable.

* Salary range: $100,000 - $155,000 total remuneration package per year
* Full-time ongoing position
* You will primarily work from our Bruce (Canberra) office.
* Role available to start in March 2025.
