Title: Assistant Sales Manager
Report to: General Manager
Hours: 9 am to 5 pm
Summary:
Reporting to the General Manager, the Assistant Sales Manager will be responsible for selling products or services while providing excellent customer service. This role is crucial in enhancing the overall customer experience through sales and customer inquiries via email, phone, and in-person meetings, including sales and technical discussions. Cooperation with the marketing manager from the Japan office is essential.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop relationships with current customers and drive sales outside of the customer’s original order, including additional products.
2. Product/technology introduction to customers in the Motorcycle and Power sports industries.
3. Daily commercial negotiation and correspondence with customers by e-mail/phone based on the information from the marketing manager.
4. Involvement with Engineering and development work alongside the customer’s R&D and engineering team.
5. Handle all customer issues in a timely and professional manner.
6. Pursue new and advanced technology to align with customer’s newly developed products.
7. Improve customer evaluations regarding delivery/quality issues and collect payments in a timely manner to avoid overdue accounts.
8. Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers/suppliers.
9. Understand our products in detail technically and introduce them to potential customers.
10. Establish new business in vehicle industries together with the marketing manager under the instruction of the General Manager.
11. Check customer requests/demands.
12. Travel 2-3 times a month within the USA, and once a year out of the country.
13. Manage a team of 2 staff members.
Qualifications/Skills/Requirements:
1. Bachelor's Degree.
2. Prior sales experience in the automotive or motorsports industry.
3. Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
4. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
5. Attention to detail.
6. Excellent organizational skills.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. Valid US driver’s license and valid passport.
9. Ability to lift 5-10 pounds.
