The successful applicant will be a key part of the operational team (Design & Construction) and will be responsible for the construction project management of new Amazon Delivery Stations (distribution centers) in the areas of planning, work preparation, and construction execution (existing and new buildings). The Construction Manager will play a significant role in developing and implementing the EU distribution center infrastructure. In this role, they will analyze and evaluate various planning and execution options that directly impact the efficiency of package processing at our Delivery Stations. Additionally, the candidate must support the standardization of technical and facility-related processes and systems.
The position combines civil engineering, construction law, planning, time management, cost management, project management, facility management, and contract management. Proven skills and experience in planning, construction execution, and project management/control are necessary.

Key job responsibilities
1. Take primary responsibility for the construction development of new and existing properties
2. Coordinate the project team for construction (internally and externally)
3. Oversee construction, planning, and design for Amazon Delivery Stations and expansion projects
4. Conduct feasibility studies, create technical reports, and planning variants
5. Perform due diligence analyses and cost estimation for new properties/expansions
6. Ensure efficient contracts, contract compliance, and contract negotiations
7. Monitor work processes and timelines to meet targets (safety, deadlines, costs, quality)
8. Act as the point of contact for the internal project teams throughout the lifecycle of the properties
9. Train new team members in best practices
10. Draft regular reports to the internal management team (deadlines, costs, risks, quality)
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelor's degree in Architecture or (Civil) Engineering
* Fluent command of German and English
* Experience in managing construction sites during the preparation or construction phase
* Experience in project management, real estate development, architecture/planning
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Master's degree
* French, Polish, Arabic, Turkish, Afrikaans, and Zulu are considered preferred qualifications.
