About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Digital Engineering Manager to join our team, providing national leadership to our skilled team of Digital Engineering experts and technicians!
In this role, you will oversee the delivery of high-quality digital engineering outputs across civil, structural, MEP, and architectural disciplines. You will develop and manage processes for design documentation, model management, and compliance with industry standards, while fostering team growth through mentorship and guidance.

As a Digital Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for:
* Lead a National Team of Digital Engineering experts and technicians for the production of quality project design outputs.
* Develop and manage processes for the production of design documentation and drawings from industry standard drafting, modelling and drawing tools.
* Demonstrated knowledge of industry standards, operator and agency drafting requirements.
* Experience in the production of digital engineering outputs for: Civil, Structural, Architecture, MEP and other relevant disciplines.
* Guide and mentor Digital engineering team and manage career development.
* Manage process for design documentation and model review, including the use of key tools such as Revizto.
* Manage the administration of model storage and hosting environments such as ACC and other recognised tools.
* Review, develop and drive digital engineering processes for efficient development and management of design outputs.
* Communicate and collaborate with engineers across multiple disciplines.
* Manage a National Digital Engineering team for day-to-day production of DE outputs.
* Manage subcontractors including quality assurance and client feedback and ensuring effective communication of any changes/modifications.
* Consider constructability in all design outcomes and consult with relevant team members to ensure that design outcomes are constructible.
* Actively promote digital engineering principles and follow project workflows/procedures for: front end design, detailing and submission.
* Ability to leverage existing client relationships for the initiation of work opportunities and business development.
Required Experience:
* Bachelor's degree or associated industry recognised training in associated areas: MEP, Architecture, Civil/Structural Engineering.
* ISO 19650 Accreditation Required.
* Minimum 10 - 15 years' experience working in the management of Digital Engineering, BIM and CAD operations.
* Experience in managing multi-disciplinary team for the production of high-quality design drawing, model and deliverable outputs.
* Demonstrated experience and familiarity in the use of key production, storage and productivity tools such as: ACC, Projectwise, Revit, Civil 3D AutoCAD, Microstation and Revizto.
* Demonstrated experience in linear modelling of MEP Services, Civil and Structures using automation tools like Dynamo, Python.
* Demonstrated experience in automation of metadata information into models using Dynamo.
* Experience in mentoring other DE technical resources in this field.
* Experience in managing and reporting against the integrated program schedule including Earned Value determination.
* Management of Design budgets and forecasting of resources & costs.
* Experience in setting up and managing digital engineering systems including data and asset management, model storage, project platform setup.
* The ability to run and manage multiple concurrent projects and monitor the utilisation and productivity of staff.
* Working knowledge of relevant Australian Standards, Authority CAD standards, Industry drafting guidelines.
* Dedication to “Safety in Design” principles.
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
* Demonstrated ability to lead, with good influencing, motivating and delegation skills.
Additional Preferred Experience:
* ISO 19650 Accredited (Practitioner and/or Technologist).
* Previous design experience on at least Three (3) Australian based on major road, road tunnel and/or rail linear infrastructure projects on a Digital Engineering Lead Capacity is required.
* Previous experience in Digital Engineering Management roles within major consulting and engineering firms and/or Major Contractors.
* Deep understanding of at least one (1) or more DE frameworks: TfNSW, TMR, DTI (SA) and Transport Victoria.
