ANDRITZ is seeking a dynamic Process Control Engineer to support our entry into the P2X market. In this role, you will be responsible for designing plant control concepts for our green hydrogen and renewable fuel solutions.
We are looking for a professional with extensive experience in process control engineering. Your deep understanding of designing plant solutions will play a crucial role in the success of our projects. This exciting opportunity is based in Vienna.

In your role, you will:
Develop innovative plant control concepts for the complete lifecycle and all plant operation situations.
Define the requirements for the control equipment.
Align and jointly review the equipment selection for control equipment.
Participate in HAZOP and LOPA studies.
Add control loop indications into piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
Prepare process function descriptions, interlock descriptions, and control loop drawings.
Work closely with project management and disciplines such as piping, layout, static and rotating equipment, electrical and automation disciplines both in the proposal and engineering phases.
Be the interface to the software engineers.
Lead software FATs and SATs.
Be part of the commissioning, start-up, and optimization team.
Align and improve control strategies for R&D projects.
In your personal skillset, you have:
Degree level qualification in an automation or process engineering discipline.
Minimum three years of experience as a process control or I&C engineer; experience within the petrochemical gas industry is a plus.
Knowledge about control of gas systems.
Experience with PLC programming is a plus.
Ability to consult with customers and notified bodies about technical design requirements.
Ability to explain design solutions in an engaging manner.
Strong communication, analytical, and planning skills.
Solution/team/customer oriented with the confidence to act proactively.
Fluent in English; another European language is an advantage.
Willingness to travel for at least 5 days per month.

In Austria, we are legally obliged to announce at least a gross monthly salary of €4,112.78 for this position. Depending on qualifications and professional experience, we offer you a market-based salary.
