Students who have not yet finished their Masters' degree can apply but have to be graduated before joining the PhD program.
The language of instruction is English and applicants are expected to be highly proficient in this language. A certificate of English proficiency is not mandatory for application but must be provided by the selected students before admission to the PhD program. The PhD Program \"Molecular Medicine” (Medical University of Graz), offers 11 PhD positions with a special focus on cancer research, immunology, lipid metabolism, cardiovascular research and pregnancy. As a PhD student, you will be embedded in an interdisciplinary community of supervisors, fellow students and administrative support. PhD students receive a 3-year contract (1 initial year + 2 years extension) including a competitive salary and social benefits. The possibility of a contract extension for 1 year (4th year) may be possible upon successful completion of a research stay abroad.
