Job Summary
The Field Service Technician coordinates troubleshooting and repairs of all Flowserve and Non-Flowserve valve-actuator-positioner products for customers in various industries. They work with commercial teams, manufacturing plants, engineering and quality departments, QRCs, and CSCs in their region.
Key Responsibilities:
* Actively support a positive HSE culture and maintain a safe hazard-free work environment.
* Makes direct, in-person service calls in response to customer requests.
* Assess mechanical/instrument/electric related problems and takes actions aiming at resolution.
* Oversees the full cycle of repair: disassembly, cleaning, inspection, repair, and assembly.
* Evaluates equipment prior to start-up and assesses start-up performance.
* Trains customers on proper procedures for operating and maintaining equipment.
* Identifies field service sales opportunities for sales to follow up, quote, and present to the customer.
* Collaborates with Flowserve Sales & ComOps Team to ensure a coordinated approach to serving customers.
* Collaborates effectively with supporting organizations, including repair centers and commercial organization.
* Maintains organized, accurate, timely records using Flowserve designated systems and processes.
Requirements:
* Technical High School (HTL) and/or Bachelor in engineering or similar.
* 3-5 years of experience in assembly, test, trouble shooting of valve-actuator – positioner product lines.
* Proficient in factory testing requirements for valves, actuators, and positioners, including testing software and troubleshooting digital products.
* Able to travel extensively, both domestically and internationally.
* Excellent documentation skills regarding service reports and other documentation.
* Fluent Italian and English.
About the Job
This position requires an experienced engineer/technician who can provide confident expertise in operational problems. The Field Service Technician will plan, repair, and install equipment, oversee start-up, conduct maintenance, and monitor product performance at customer locations.
The job involves coordination with commercial teams, manufacturing plants, engineering and quality departments, QRCs, and CSCs in the respective region. The successful candidate will be responsible for training Field Service Technicians and creating a pool of resources available to customers outside their region.
