Job Description:
This contract supports the operational environments of the USDA Office of the CIO's Information Security Center. This role is Cybersecurity Solutions Architect.
This is a surge support role which will last approximately 4 months from time of hire.
Duties/ Responsibilities
Task responsibilities include:
1. Attend all USDA internal architecture meetings (relevant to cybersecurity).
2. Coordinate with varying security Focus Groups to leverage the architecture.
3. Coordinate across USDA, as required, to gain inputs and insights to assist in development and implementation of a USDA Cybersecurity Architecture.
4. Create, collect, and post all cybersecurity architecture documentation to a shared data repository.
5. Assist USDA in cybersecurity architecture assessment, design, development, and planning of current and future technical and functional/business systems by depicting technical, systems, and functional architecture views as required.
6. Facilitate and develop plans which will enable information sharing, integration, and interoperability while considering service-oriented architecture best practices by aligning with overarching Federal and DHS architectures.
7. Research and identify new and emerging technologies for potential insertion into current and future programs and the cybersecurity architecture baseline, based on a business case analysis (e.g., cloud services, Big Data analysis, blockchain, zero trust, IoT, and AI).
8. Participate and support the development of implementation strategies and courses of action that address mission capabilities development and implementation, data migration, and capacity planning.
Required Skills/Abilities
1. Cybersecurity Architecture background with a focus on software and process solutions.
2. Background in NIST, OMB, DoD, DHS, FISMA, and other government work.
3. Background in Supply Chain Management is extremely important.
4. Experience motivating teams in a virtual environment.
5. Familiarity with Cloud Services.
Nice to Have Skills
1. CISSP Certification.
2. Cloud Services background, including an understanding of the relationship of applications and databases and capabilities that operate in IaaS, PaaS, and potentially SaaS.
3. ServiceNow experience is a plus.
Education and Experience:
1. 5 years of experience.
2. BS in business administration, IT, or any related field.

1. Ability to obtain a Public Trust.
Salary:
$120k - $130k annually - The salary range offered is an estimate made in good faith, intended to encompass various experience levels.
