About the role
We are seeking a driven and strategic Business Development Manager – Major Projects to spearhead national sales and business development efforts in their Remote Workforce Division. This critical role is responsible for identifying and securing new opportunities in camp accommodation and workforce housing across industries such as mining, oil & gas, government, and infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in modular accommodation, workforce housing, or a related industry, with proven experience in lead generation, tendering, and client relationship management. You will work independently on identifying new business opportunities, supported by their operations team to deliver innovative solutions to clients.
Key Responsibilities
* Drive lead generation and business development efforts to secure new opportunities for workforce housing solutions across Australia.
* Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue and hire targets.
* Identify, pursue, and close sales and hire leads in mining, oil & gas, infrastructure, and government sectors.
* Cultivate strong relationships with key decision-makers, industry stakeholders, and government bodies.
* Conduct commercial analysis to assess tender opportunities and ensure competitive positioning.
* Track and report on sales performance, lead conversion rates, and pipeline growth against KPIs.
Skills and Experience
* Minimum 5+ years of business development experience in modular accommodation, workforce housing, or a related industry.
* Strong knowledge of remote workforce projects, mining, oil & gas, and government tenders.
* Proven success in lead generation, sales conversion, and relationship management.
* Experience in RFQ, tender submissions, and contract negotiations.
* High level of independence and self-motivation, with the ability to work autonomously while collaborating with internal teams.
* Frequent travel across Australia as required to meet clients and attend industry events.
