About This RoleJoin CAE’s Simulator team based in Vienna, Austria, working on the most advanced simulators in the world. Due to the unrivalled range of simulators at our training centre, your role will be incredibly varied, giving you the opportunity to work on a wide range of the most modern simulators, systems, and equipment to enhance your technical knowledge.In this role, the Simulator Systems Engineer will be expected to ensure that the simulators and other training devices are kept operational and manage new updates and installs. This position is at the supervisory level of technical staff and the incumbent is expected to exercise judgment and initiative in planning, coordination, and execution of work assignments in line with the existing policies and procedures and by effectively allocating time and resources to meet business and budget objectives in a timely manner.Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:Debugging avionics and aircraft system deficienciesTuning subjective observations raised by instructors.Debugging and tuning QTGsSolving software issues and integrating them into software loads.Identifying and debugging recurring and intermittent issues.Planning and preparing for annual Recurrent Qualifications of in-service devices.Coordinating new simulator projects and upgrades and subsequently providing the project engineer functions to oversee their installation, testing & qualification.Providing regulatory guidance and support for simulator requalifications.Supporting the shift and working in conjunction with the Team Leader Simulator Technician and providing cover as required during low shift numbers.Our ideal candidate has:College diploma or associate degree.Ideally 5 – 8 years relevant job experience.Computer literate (PC and/or computer mainframe/architecture).Some knowledge of Microsoft Office tools and suite.Fluency in English.CAE offers:Private health insuranceHealthcare cash planPension schemeFlexible vacation policyFlexitime schemeLife AssuranceLocation:Austria, ViennaPosition Type: RegularCAE thanks all applicants for their interest.
