We are looking for a Cellar Door and Direct Sales Supervisor to join our team at Bondar Wines in McLaren Vale.
Bondar is one of McLaren Vale’s leading modern wineries. We are a family-owned wine business with a small team who we value highly. Our vision is to make wines that are bright, structured, mid-weight, yet concentrated in flavour, and with a savoury element. Our wines are sourced from our home vineyard as well as from great sites around McLaren Vale and the Adelaide Hills, and they are made in our onsite winery.
We are looking to welcome a wine-loving customer service professional into our team, to take over the hands-on role of supervising direct sales both within our small cellar door and via online channels. You will work directly with the owners of the business to grow DTC sales, customer awareness and retention.
The right candidate will be responsible and reliable, someone who can take initiative and is able to work independently as well as alongside the rest of our group. The position’s hours are flexible, but we would see the role being between 3-5 days per week (and that must include at least one weekend day per week). Availability over the busy Christmas/New Year’s period is required.
Duties of the role include:
* Hosting tastings and providing all aspects of exceptional customer care and service both within our cellar door and with our online DTC customers.
* Responsibility for the wine club - promoting and growing the club, driving new memberships, organising the two major shipments each year, being the point of contact for our wine club members, and working together with management to create and execute member benefits and events.
* Being the point of contact for external events and off-site tastings, and organising and hosting these events.
* Liaising with regional associations and partners, attending famils and meetings on behalf of Bondar Wines.
* Updating and collating cellar door marketing materials.
* Stock control and management.
* Creating and implementing systems and practices within cellar door to enhance customer experience and the general running and organisation of our tasting facility and our DTC customer experience generally.
* Taking control of the end-to-end process of shipping for all direct customer orders.
There is also an opportunity to do some winery or vineyard work in the quieter times of cellar door if this is of interest.
