About the OPPORTUNITY
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Project Controller to join our Hunter Class Program delivery team based at Osborne Naval Shipyard, SA.
Reporting to the Project Controls and Planning Manager, the Senior Project Controller will be responsible for the proper use of the company Earned Value Management (EVM) System so that the project management team can adequately monitor and report on project cost, schedule progress and risk status.
In the conduct of assigned duties, the successful applicant must maintain the goodwill of the Customer and company management, by ensuring that our established EVM processes are carried out to report and manage the project with timely, accurate EVM data.

Key responsibilities include:
* Establish and maintain the Contract Work Breakdown Structure (CWBS) on behalf of the Management Services Integrated Project Teams (IPTs).
* Provide assurance that the CWBS reflects the obligations contained within the HCFP Head Contract agreement.
* Maintain the Performance Measurement Baseline control across the Management Services IPTs.
* Assure the credibility of Earned Value Techniques applied across the Management Services IPT work-scope.
* Support Critical Path Reviews for Combat Systems and Hunter program.
* Assist with Combat System Project Controller training.
* Support the Management Services CAM community to assure high standards of control account management.
* Provide SME support to the Planning & Controls team and the Project team in all cost & schedule tools incl. Primavera, Oracle and Cobra.
* Interface with HCFP teams to ensure consistency and alignment of processes, tools, and practices.
* Develop transparent and supportive relationships with customer representatives.
About YOU
* Tertiary qualifications in Project Management or equivalent (advantageous)
* Previous experience as a Project Controller
* Experience with Primavera P6 / Open Plan / COBRA (desirable)
* Strong understanding of Earned Value Management principles
* Extensive scheduling and cost experience
* Ability to interact effectively with stakeholders both internal and external to BAE Systems
* Demonstrated ability to work autonomously under time constraints, solve problems and make decisions
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
* Current Baseline Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain
