Our Assistant Manager - Rooms Division supports the daily operations of our Oval Hotel and plays a critical role in providing a memorable experience for our guests. You will be extremely hands-on, able to pivot and handle competing priorities and be an emerging leader who is looking to grow their career.
What you'll be doing:
* Be across the day-to-day operations of the hotel and identify opportunities to improve our service standards.
* Provide leadership, support and training to direct reports in Guest Services and Concierge.
* Actively resolve complaints and challenges presented by guests.
* Analyse financial performance, looking for opportunities to improve revenue, cash flow and package revenues.
* Assist in all areas of the hotel during peak times to ensure seamless service delivery.
* Welcome guests, fostering customer loyalty and build high-quality relationships with guests throughout their stay.
* Promotion of upselling, generating room revenue and undertaking auditing of operations to maximise revenue.
* Manage workforce planning and rostering requirements to meet KPI's.
* Ensure internal audit and compliance requirements are carried out in a timely manner.
Your skills and experience:
* Previous front office supervisor or duty manager experience in the hotel industry is essential, with knowledge of the luxury market preferred.

* Natural leadership skills with demonstrated results in developing and motivating teams.

Please note that out of hours work including nights, weekends and public holidays are a requirement of this role.
