DVS is looking for a Computer Engineer - ERP & Data Migration Specialist. The work location will be Tysons Corner, VA with flexibility to work from home.
Job Description:
We are looking for a talented Computer Engineer with expertise in ERP systems and data migration processes to join our team. This role emphasizes working closely with our ERP platform to ensure seamless deployment, integration, and migration of data from legacy systems to our ERP solutions. Familiarity with AWS cloud environments is a plus, but the focus will be on delivering effective ERP solutions, maintaining data integrity, and ensuring smooth data transition.
Key Responsibilities:
1. ERP Implementation and Management:
o Assist with the setup, configuration, and customization of ERP software to align with business requirements.
o Collaborate with clients' various departments to understand their needs and enhance ERP functionalities accordingly.
o Troubleshoot, optimize, and document ERP configurations, ensuring seamless operation and minimal downtime.
2. Data Migration and Management:
o Design and execute data migration strategies for moving data from legacy systems to ERP and other platforms.
o Conduct data mapping, validation, and testing to maintain high data accuracy and integrity.
o Develop and document data migration plans, and monitor data flow to ensure secure, consistent, and accurate data transfers.
3. AWS Cloud Support:
o Assist in managing and supporting cloud-based environments, with a focus on ERP integration within AWS infrastructure.
o Monitor resource usage and performance within AWS to ensure reliable ERP operations.
o Implement security measures and performance optimizations as necessary in collaboration with cloud engineers.
4. Technical Collaboration and Support:
o Work closely with the IT and Business teams to ensure ERP systems align with organizational needs and objectives.
o Provide technical guidance and support on data handling best practices and ERP optimization.
o Create documentation for ERP configurations, migration procedures, and technical processes for knowledge sharing and troubleshooting.
Required Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience with ERP implementation, customization, and troubleshooting.
3. Strong experience with data migration, especially with migrating data from legacy systems to ERP solutions.
4. Basic knowledge of cloud environments, especially AWS, for ERP hosting and support.
5. Proficiency in SQL and experience with data validation, mapping, and management.
Qualifications:
1. Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure (certifications a plus but not required).
2. Familiarity with automation tools for data migration and ERP integration.
3. Knowledge of scripting (Python, Bash) to support migration and data handling tasks.
4. Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and a structured approach to problem-solving.
