We are looking for a Head of Operations to lead our Operations team and take ownership of our platform’s core processes: Customer/Provider Support, Booking Operations, and Financial Operations. The Operations team is the backbone of CheckYeti, ensuring a seamless post-booking experience for both customers and activity providers. Committed to delivering exceptional service, optimizing processes, and offering multilingual support, the team handles everything from booking troubleshooting to financial operations. Through close collaboration with other departments, the Operations team drives customer satisfaction, strengthens provider relationships, and powers CheckYeti's growth and success.

What You Will Do In This Role
As Head of Operations, you will be the driving force behind our operations strategy, process excellence, and team performance. Your responsibilities include:
1. Leadership & People Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 15-20 operations specialists and managers, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
2. Operations Strategy: Develop and implement the vision and strategy for the Operations department to align with the company’s growth objectives.
3. Process Optimization: Analyse, improve, and streamline operations processes across functions such as Customer/Provider Support, Booking Operations, and Financial Operations.
4. Innovation & Technology: Identify and implement new tools, self-service features, and AI solutions to enhance operational efficiency and user experience.
5. KPI Reporting: Monitor and report key operational metrics, ensuring data-driven decision-making and accountability.
6. Stakeholder Management: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (Business Development, Content, Sales, IT) to ensure seamless operational integration.
7. Recruitment: Attract, hire, and retain top talent to build a robust and high-performing Operations team.
8. Management Reporting: Provide regular updates to the COO and the leadership team.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The ideal candidate is an experienced manager with a proven track record in operations and a passion for creating impact. You should bring:
1. Experience: 5+ years in operations management or related positions, with at least 2 years leading mid-sized teams. Experience in e-commerce, travel, or platform businesses is a plus.
2. Leadership Skills: Strong people management capabilities, with experience in mentoring and developing diverse teams.
3. Analytical Mindset: Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to leverage data to drive decisions.
4. Project Management Expertise: Proven ability to manage and execute cross-functional projects effectively.
5. Tech-Savviness: Familiarity with operations tools and technologies; experience with AI solutions is a bonus.
6. Strategic Vision: Ability to align departmental goals with broader company objectives.
7. Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English and at least one of our core languages (German, French, Italian, Spanish or Dutch).
8. Adaptability: Comfort with working in a fast-paced, dynamic scale-up environment.
9. Education: A degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
