Join our high-performing team at BOQ Group as a Senior Analyst - AML Investigations. Your main responsibility will be to help mitigate Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing (AML/CTF) risks.
You'll support the assessment and investigation of alerts from BOQ’s detection systems, identifying unusual patterns or behaviours. Your work will ensure compliance with AML/CTF regulations and BOQ Group policies, including our FC Strategy.
In this role, you'll conduct transaction monitoring for complex investigations, provide structured analysis, and support decision-making with timely intelligence reporting to AUSTRAC. You'll also perform a 4-eye check on recommendations for off-boarding customers posing ML/TF risks. You'll collaborate with the AML Ops Reporting Team Leader to develop training materials for AML Investigation Analysts, alongside driving a culture of empowerment, making risk-based decisions, and holding the team accountable to performance expectations.
About you
You our successful candidate will have proven experience in FCP roles, particularly in investigations, transaction monitoring, sanctions, or customer screening roles with AML/CTF obligations.
You should have knowledge of financial crime processes, customer or payment screening, and AML/CTF rules, alongside being well versed in SMRs. Familiarity with ML/TF typologies, indicators, and red flags, as well as sanctions screening and compliance requirements, is essential.
