Job Description SummaryThe head engineering for development, as a member of Sandoz global Engineering leadership, is responsible for managing engineering operations including investments and maintenance for the Sandoz development centres. Furthermore, the role is responsible for coordinating investment strategies between development and technical operations along with Sandoz business requirements. This is an exciting time in our history, and by creating a new and ambitious path, it will provide a unique opportunity for us all, both professionally and personally.Join us as a Founder of our ‘new’ Sandoz!Your Key Responsibilities:Establish long term investment portfolio based on business strategies by managing the multiyear Capital expenditure plan for Sandoz development centers via providing oversight on local site budgets, spend forecasting and project selection.Coordinate key strategic development investments with Sandoz TechOps to identify and manage synergies as well as dependencies and generate an overall Sandoz multi-year investment plan.Define, control and deliver key strategic development investment projects, ensuring project objectives of scope, budget and schedule are maintained to achieve business needs, in order to achieve expected value.Ensure development centers have appropriate engineering (or similar) organization in place and Sandoz engineering processes in the key areas of Capex expenditure and asset life-cycle management are applied.Ensure all the development centers have the equipment recapitalization plan and facilities to operate in a safe, effective and technically compliant manner.Develop and own key facility and manufacturing design concepts to ensure value is created both operationally and financially after implementation.Ensure compliance with GMP and regulatory requirements and continuous improvement of quality relevant processes within area of responsibility.A champion of the Sandoz values & behaviors and acts as a role-model of leadership that fosters an inclusive and high performing culture which develops capability and talents.What you’ll bring to the role:Essential Requirements:15 years general Engineering experience thereof +10 years’ experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environmentOutstanding technical knowledge with demonstrated ability to deliver safe and fully compliant technical solutionsDemonstrated leadership abilities leading a team aligned around business / technology / project processesWell-developed communication skills, ability to present comfortably to Senior Management and to Technical ExpertsDemonstrated knowledge / understanding of key non-technical business processes, HR, FinanceAdvance HSe and GxP / QA knowledgeOutstanding flexibility, adaptability and sense of accountabilityStrong leadership and collaboration skills (team player mentality)Self-driven with high learning agility, dynamic, ambitious and passionateYou’ll receive:Sandoz has an employee-first approach and that’s why your personal growth is so important to us.
