Assistant National Quality and Product Development Manager

We’re looking for a National Quality Officer to join our corporate team, based in Perth. Contract is flexible to suit the right candidate.
A day in the life
Leveraging your passion for quality Vocational Education and Training (VET), you’ll be responsible for supporting LTT in providing a quality service to its wide client-base, both internally and externally!
As part of LTT's corporate team, you will provide a range of services to our four State offices to ensure we are able to continue meeting the requirements of our RTO registration.
Key responsibilities
* Provide support and guidance to all LTT staff to maintain the VET Quality Framework (VQF) and ensure an active approach in minimising compliance risk to LTT’s RTO business.
* Oversee LTT’s Product Development team supporting the design and development of quality learning programs in accordance with the relevant training package requirements, VQF and all funding contract requirements.
* Maintain a framework in collaboration with LTT’s Industry Engagement team for managing industry relevance of training and assessment.
* Support the coordination, design, development and implementation of quality resources in conjunction with the business plan and strategic direction of the company in accordance with the VQF and relevant national training package requirement.
* Maintain a framework to enhance the knowledge and skills of LTT’s employees in terms of Vocational Education and Training (VET) and VQF.
* Analyse skill gaps and provide professional development opportunities for LTT employees to continuously meet the requirements of the VQF.
* In collaboration with the Operations and Training Management teams, monitor and maintain Trainer Assessor documentation to demonstrate appropriate qualification and currency.
* Develop and maintain internal audit schedules and documentation and be accountable for providing audit reports/ recommendations.
* Work in partnership with the National Quality and Product Development Manager to prepare for and participate in external audits (ASQA and State-based Contracts).
* Manage and maintain a schedule and system of validation of new and existing assessment tools and assessment judgements.
* Support the National Quality and Product Development Manager with all areas of RTO quality and compliance as required.
* Maintain own continuous professional development in relation to role.
Must-haves
* At least 5 years of experience as a VET Professional with demonstrated expertise in a similar role.
* Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
* Excellent high level English language and literacy skills, with a strong attention to detail.
* Comprehensive understanding of the VET Quality Framework (VQF) and how to apply it.
* Excellent understanding of the Standards for RTOs, 2015 (and its successor).
* A proficient level of computer literacy, including MS365.
* Experience using a Student Management system, such as VETtrak.
* Experience with Learning Management Systems such as Moodle or Blackboard.
* Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.
* Ability to work as part of a team and autonomously whilst demonstrating excellent use of initiative.
* Coaching and mentoring for performance experience in an RTO.
* Ability to work as part of a small yet diverse team to influence stakeholders to a common outcome.
* High level of emotional intelligence to collaboratively shape viewpoints to deliver quality outcomes.
* Takes ownership, is industrious, displays a proactive approach and problem-solving ability.
* Excellent project and time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.
* Strong initiative and drive to adopt best practice for the business.
* Energetic and an approachable manner, patient, confident and friendly nature.
* A Diploma relevant to working in VET.
* Experience using VETtrak and Moodle highly regarded.
* Experience using online course authoring tools, such as Articulate 360 Storyline.
* Experience with VSL and CRICOS - not essential but highly regarded.
