Professional Development Manager | Remote work from home
We are looking for a motivated and passionate part-time Professional Development Manager (12-month contract) to design, lead, and implement professional development programs for a not-for-profit member association in the forest management sector. In this newly created role, you will play a key part in developing strategic learning frameworks and driving initiatives that support professional growth and development, including a mentoring program for women, backed by the Australian Government's Forestry Workforce Training Program.
What you'll be doing
* Develop and implement a comprehensive professional development strategy.
* Identify skill gaps and design programs to address learning needs.
* Establish policies, frameworks, models, and quality standards for professional development offerings.
* Develop and manage a mentoring program structure to support women in forestry and timber industries.
* Collaborate with stakeholders including members, employers, educational institutions, and professional networks to enhance learning opportunities.
* Engage with speakers, trainers, and facilitators for program delivery.
* Oversee the delivery of webinars, workshops, and other professional development initiatives.
* Establish metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of professional development programs and collect feedback to drive continuous improvement and refine program offerings.
What we're looking for
With qualifications and/or equivalent experience in learning and development, you will demonstrate:
* Proven experience in professional development, training, or learning and development.
* Strong project management skills with the ability to develop, execute, and drive initiatives from concept to delivery.
* Experience in designing and delivering mentoring or career development programs.
* Exceptional communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Proficiency in utilising technology and digital tools for content delivery.
* A passion for a positive organisational culture and values-driven work.
Additionally, the following are desirable:
* Experience in a member-based or professional association and working with volunteer committees.
* Experience in selecting, implementing, and managing Learning Management Systems (LMS)
* Knowledge of gender diversity challenges and opportunities.
* Familiarity with best practices in adult learning and professional education.
