Project description
This project-based position is associated with the Horizon Europe project TAICo “Teacher-AI Complementarity. A sustainable future for Europe”. The project aims to develop and evaluate a model of Teacher-AI Complementarity that applies broadly to teaching staff and AI applications across educational levels.
Your tasks
Planning and conducting empirical research on technology that can support a teacher-AI complementarity
Collaborating with teachers and key stakeholders to co-create and develop socio-technical and theoretical tools that foster a teacher-AI synergy
Conducting workshops with in-service teachers and teacher trainers
Publishing research findings in international, peer-reviewed scientific journals
Presenting research outcomes at conferences
Engaging in international research collaboration
Your profile
We require evidence of the following qualifications for the application:
Completed University Master’s degree in the fields of Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Educational Science, Psychology, or related subjects
Basic skills in quantitative and qualitative research methods and willingness to expand these skills
Good knowledge and demonstrated skills in writing scientific texts
Excellent language skills in English (min. C1 level)
In addition, the following criteria are desirable:
Programming skills in Python, R Programming, and experience with relevant Machine Learning packages (e.g., pytorch, tensorflow, scikit-learn), or similar
Basic skills in applying human-centered participatory-design approaches, or similar
Good language skills in German
Your perspective
Part-time position (30 hours/week) in a third-party funded project, initially limited until 31 January 2028, with a minimum salary of EUR 3,578.80 gross per month on a full-time basis (classification as a scientific project staff member according to § 49 VwGr. B1, Kollektivvertrag für Universitäten (collective agreement for universities); Willingness to overpay with appropriate qualifications and professional experience)
