We are looking to recruit a Branch Manager for our Ocean Freight Forwarding division with an Austrian scope. You will be responsible for Customer Satisfaction and Operational Excellence (Cost, Process Quality, Productivity), as well as the achievement of optimum profitability Gross Margin – in line with the local budget. Moreover, you will play a key role in ensuring local sales development, key accounts retention and development of the people and team-management.
Key Responsibilities
Customer satisfaction & Operational excellence
1. Responsible for execution of standard operational processes (Customer Service, Transactional Operations); ensure proper process interfaces
2. Communicate with concerned parties for the improvement of the process interfaces
3. Escalation contact in case of issues/problems and ensure corrective/preventive actions
Business Development
1. Coordinate implementation of new business with Sales
2. Ensure local sales development
3. Retain and develop branch accounts
Management
1. People and team-management (staffing, development, discipline, etc.) for local teams, in accordance/coordination with Product managers/Sales Manager and HR
2. Ensure proper interfaces Sales - Operations
3. Responsible for the Business Plan and Budget elaboration (profit & loss responsibility on Branch level)
4. Ensure alignment with Product Managers, Sales Manager and Finance
5. Responsible for adherence of QMS and all other standards
6. Adherence to Security/Safety Guidelines and external regulations
7. Reporting and Statistics (Volumes, KPI‘s)
Requirements
1. 7+ years working within the Freight Forwarding Industry with a strong focus on Operational Management and Service Excellence
2. Minimum 5 years’ experience in management with P&L responsibility
3. Successful management of all key stakeholder relationships including shareholders and external government agencies
4. Advanced knowledge of logistics process and security procedures and protocols
5. Strong negotiator and a self-starter with the ability to adapt to stressful environments by using a sociable but firm approach, as well as engendering trust and integrity
6. Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate, develop and encourage others to positively contribute to business goals and objectives
7. High level analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills
8. Strong commitment to client service excellence with the ability to build solid relationships
9. Fluency in German and English is mandatory
Compensation
The monthly salary for the position starts from gross 5.000 €. Your actual salary will be determined during your interviews, based on your qualifications and experience.
