The Product Support Engineer – CellXpress.ai is responsible for providing high-quality engineering support to meet Field Service and external customer needs on our CellXpress.ai Automated Cell Culture System.
The successful candidate will be a results-driven individual with a passion for customer satisfaction and who is excited to be part of a new team. The candidate demonstrates excellent troubleshooting skills and translates their knowledge into effective service documentation including manuals, technical bulletins, work instructions, and parts lists.
Interaction with cross-functional team members is essential, including Service, Product Development, Custom Solutions, Operations, Sales, Marketing, Applications, and the Customer.
This position reports to the Senior Manager, Product Support Engineer and is part of the Product Support Team in the Service Organization located in Salzburg, Austria, and will be an on-site role.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
1. Generate documentation and conduct hardware and software training to enable support of the customized product by field service engineers and technical support.
2. Provide direct escalation support to the Field Service Engineering and Technical Support teams for CellXpress and related products. Report and escalate to management as needed.
3. Perform risk management to minimize CellXpress serviceability risks.
4. Provide project execution support for CellXpress products to ensure they meet service requirements prior to shipment.
5. Learn and use DBS tools such as FMEA, Problem Solving, Poka-Yoke, and Standard Work to achieve quality, delivery, and cost targets and to continuously improve processes.
The essential requirements of the job include:
1. Education: B.S. or higher in a Life Science discipline or in Engineering is required.
2. 5+ years of professional work experience as a hands-on engineer in a life science company or discovery laboratory environment.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
1. Ability to travel (up to 30%) to visit customers or provide technical training domestic and international.
2. Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 50 lbs.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
1. Experience with liquid handling instruments, incubators, and robotics a plus.
2. Demonstrated success in managing multiple activities/projects, priorities, or people in a fast-paced, high-growth, results-driven environment.
3. Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical/problem-solving skills, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
4. Ability to quickly learn and master new products and software applications desired.

The collective agreement for employees in the electrical and electronics industry applies to the advertised position, the minimum basic salary is € 4215,39,-- gross per month with willingness to overpay collective agreement. This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
