Currently distributing Hydro Flask, OOFOS, Cotopaxi, Rumpl, Nocs Provisions and Allbirds in Australia and New Zealand and managing the International business for OOFOS and Feetures.

The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced and strategic-minded individual to take on the role of Marketing Manager in Australia. This position will be instrumental in shaping and driving our brand marketing initiatives, with a focus on PR, events, partnerships, and content creation. The successful candidate will be a seasoned marketing professional with a proven track record in building and elevating brands across various channels.
The Marketing Manager role is responsible for leading and managing the overall Australian marketing strategy and execution across digital, brand, and trade marketing channels. This role is pivotal in driving brand awareness, customer engagement, and sales growth while ensuring consistent brand messaging across all touchpoints in the Australian Market. The Marketing Manager will also be accountable for managing the Australian Marketing budget, leading their direct reports and other department stakeholders, and establishing partnerships that enhance the company’s reputation and growth trajectory.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Brand Marketing:
* Lead the planning and execution of brand-building activities for the Australian market, including events, ambassador partnerships, and PR strategies.
* Oversee the execution of brand events that resonate with target audiences, enhance brand visibility, and drive engagement.
* Build and maintain relationships with brand ambassadors, ensuring they align with brand values and contribute to positive brand perception.
* Build and support the PR capability in the Australian team to manage media relations and increase brand coverage across relevant channels.
2. Trade Marketing:
* Support the Australian Trade team in developing and implementing trade marketing strategies, including in-store marketing, visual merchandising (VM), and bespoke trade initiatives for Australia.
* Collaborate with retail and sales teams to ensure in-store marketing efforts align with brand objectives and drive sales.
* Support Senior Trade and Brand Co-ordinator to execute on tailored trade initiatives, including exclusive promotions, product placements, and point-of-sale (POS) activations.
* Feedback on visual merchandising standards to enhance customer experience and brand presentation at all retail touchpoints.
* Support the development and execution of a comprehensive digital marketing strategy, including EDM and social media, with the Digital Marketing Manager for Australia.
* Work with the digital team to deliver end-to-end EDM campaigns to the Australian consumer, supporting the decisions from content selection to audience segmentation, scheduling, and performance tracking.
* Support the Brand coordinator to drive the social media strategy, including content planning, influencer partnerships, and community engagement, to build a strong digital presence.
* Provide direction, coaching, and performance feedback to your direct report.
* Foster a collaborative, creative, and results-driven work environment.
* Drive cross-functional collaboration with sales, product planning, and other departments to align marketing activities with broader business objectives.
3. Budget Management:
* Develop, manage, and track the annual Australian Marketing Budget for Brand and Trade initiatives with a view of the Digital Budget allocation.
* Allocate resources effectively across various marketing channels and initiatives to maximize ROI.
* Analyse the cost-effectiveness of campaigns and initiatives, ensuring optimal use of marketing spend.
* Report on budget performance to the executive team, providing insights and recommendations for adjustments.
4. Strategic Partnerships & Business Development:
* Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships that enhance the brand’s market positioning and growth in Australia.
* Negotiate and manage key sponsorships, partnerships, and collaborations that align with the brand's overall marketing goals.
* Build relationships with the Marketing teams at HQ and communicate our strategies and results.
5. Reporting & Performance Analysis:
* Monitor and analyse marketing performance across all channels and initiatives, using data to inform decision-making.
* Present regular monthly marketing reports to the executive team, highlighting KPIs, ROI, and key learnings.
* Implement continuous improvements based on market trends, consumer insights, and campaign analysis.
* Use Consumer Research data we have on our brands in Australia to make informed decisions on marketing investments.
Key Requirements:
1. Education & Experience:
* Study in Marketing, communication, Digital Marketing or Business field.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership role.
* Proven track record in brand marketing.
* Strong experience in managing marketing budgets and delivering strong ROI.
* Leadership: Proven ability to lead, mentor, and inspire.
* Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and execute forward-thinking marketing strategies that align with business objectives.
* Analytical Skills: Strong understanding of marketing analytics, with the ability to interpret data and drive insights for optimization.
* Communication: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across teams and present to senior management.
* Budget Management: Experience managing large marketing budgets and ensuring cost-efficient use of resources.
* Creative Vision: Ability to oversee creative marketing initiatives, ensuring brand consistency and customer engagement.
