The Role: Assistant Village Manager
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Assistant Village Manager to join a fantastic team at one of their premier retirement living villages in South Australia.
Reporting directly to the Village Manager, you will play a crucial supportive role in the day-to-day operations, contributing to the smooth running of the village and the high quality of life enjoyed by its residents. This is an exceptional opportunity for a proactive individual eager to learn and grow within the village management field.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide vital operational support to the Village Manager across all aspects of village life, including maintenance coordination, site presentation, and security protocols.
* Be a key point of contact for residents, offering excellent customer service and assisting with their enquiries and needs, fostering a positive and supportive atmosphere.
* Support the delivery of the village's vibrant social calendar, assisting with the planning and execution of activities and events that align with their "WellNESS Program" and encourage resident participation.
* Provide efficient administrative support to the Village Manager, including managing correspondence, maintaining records, and assisting with financial administration tasks.
* Assist in the upkeep and monitoring of the village's excellent facilities, ensuring they are well-maintained and contribute to a high standard of living for residents.
* Support the Village Manager in ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and internal policies, with a focus on resident safety and well-being.
* Assist in the coordination of any additional on-site services, ensuring a seamless experience for residents.
* Act as a liaison point between residents, staff, and external stakeholders under the guidance of the Village Manager.
* Provide support during emergency situations, following established protocols and ensuring resident safety.
* Assist with the preparation of reports and other documentation as required by the Village Manager.
What We Are Looking For:
* Proven experience in a customer-focused property management, or community-based role. Experience within the retirement living sector would be highly advantageous.
* Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a genuine ability to connect with people and build rapport, particularly with residents in a retirement living environment.
* Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to effectively manage tasks and prioritise workload.
* Solid administrative skills and comfort using standard office software.
* A proactive and solution-oriented mindset with a strong willingness to learn and contribute to the team's success.
* A genuine interest in the well-being and active lifestyle of individuals within a retirement living community.
