The broader Marketing team have recently moved into a new shared services way of operation, in service of the functional streams we represent – Arts & Culture, Education, Events & Tourism. Our nimble and passionate group have an unprecedented level of energy and momentum, ready to amplify our work, region and the incredible communities that make the Gold Coast tick.
While this role will focus predominantly on the Arts & Culture stream, the entire marketing team operates in an agile way of working to move and support business priorities.
About the Role:
Step into a career-defining opportunity as a Marketing Manager for the Arts & Culture stream. Reporting to the Campaign Director, you will lead the charge in crafting and executing strategic marketing initiatives that spotlight the Gold Coast’s dynamic arts and cultural scene (including the HOTA precinct). Working closely with cross-functional teams, you’ll champion innovative campaigns and bring our brand’s story to life. Your contributions will directly shape how the Gold Coast’s Arts & Culture stream resonates with audiences, driving engagement and fostering growth.
What You’ll Do:
* Develop and execute marketing plans that align with organisational goals, leveraging insights from market research and performance metrics.
* Mentor a team of campaign specialists and creatives, fostering collaboration and pushing the boundaries of innovative marketing solutions.
* Shape compelling narratives, ensuring all campaigns and communications reflect the unique identity of the Arts & Culture stream and the broader EGC brand.
* Act as the central point of contact for marketing efforts, aligning initiatives with the goals of other streams and departments.
* Use data-driven insights to evaluate campaign effectiveness, adjusting strategies to maximise impact and return on investment.
What You’ll Bring:
* A minimum of 4+ years in marketing roles, preferably with a focus on Arts & Culture, and a proven track record of successful campaign management.
* Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams, driving creativity and excellence.
* Strong analytical abilities with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
* Proficiency in budget management, performance analysis, and marketing tools.
* A team player with exceptional communication skills, adept at working within a matrix organisation.
* A genuine enthusiasm for the sector, with the ability to connect with audiences and champion the Gold Coast’s cultural landscape.
