Your Future Role
From Vienna to the world: our Viennese site is a global competence center for trams and light rail vehicles. 800 colleagues develop and manufacture the Flexity tram for worldwide customers from Austria to Australia. Our product line Rolling Stock & Components offers products from the broadest portfolio in the rail industry. Our innovation focus is on green and smart solutions, including emission-free propulsion systems such as batteries and hydrogen. You’ll report to Site Procurement Manager and work alongside a dedicated and enthusiastic team.
We’ll look for you to:
1. Lead purchasing activities for a designated family of products or suppliers, driving competitive advantage for the local business unit.
2. Identify and implement cost reduction initiatives while providing innovative supply solutions for complex sourcing challenges.
3. Research and evaluate potential new suppliers to enhance local sourcing capabilities beyond existing global agreements.
4. Manage supplier relationships in alignment with Procurement policies, ensuring competitiveness and optimal delivery performance.
5. Establish and monitor key supplier performance through dedicated development processes and continual improvement initiatives.
6. Support the Procurement Manager by resolving operational issues and overseeing complex negotiations related to contractual terms.
All About You
1. Relevant experience in commodity sourcing and supplier management within an engineering context.
2. Fluency in both English and German.
3. Proficiency in negotiation, relationship management, and financial acumen.
4. Ability to manage multiple priorities independently while adhering to deadlines.
5. Capacity to challenge the status quo, assertiveness, and diplomacy are essential traits for success in this role.

The minimum salary for this position is € 45.000 EUR gross annually for full-time employment according to the collective bargaining agreement. Overpayment depends on relevant work experience and qualifications. You’ll also:
