Your Responsibilities as Senior Process Engineer
We are seeking a Senior Process Engineer with experience in Mineral Processing for the Iron Ore Agglomeration Technologies business. Agglomeration Technology encompasses iron ore pelletizing, iron sintering, and iron ore beneficiation.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Process design for agglomeration plants, including mass-, energy balances, and flow sheets
* Execution of agglomeration plant studies for plant improvement
* Process technological lead of customer projects
* Design of automation concepts (PIDs, functional descriptions)
* Support of proposal management (technological process design, technical specifications) for modernization business and green field plants
* Worldwide start-up of agglomeration plants, focusing on cold commissioning and hot commissioning
* Research and development activities to improve agglomeration processes
* Performance of laboratory tests, including analysis (chemical and metallurgical) of results and generation of customer reports
* Responsibility for technological plant safety (HAZOP studies)
* Design calculations in terms of mass-, energy balances, and flow sheets
* Execution of agglomeration plant studies
* Support of proposal management (preparation of technical specifications, customer visits)
* Participation and preparation of risk assessments for agglomeration plants
* Preparation of customer documents and manuals, such as functional descriptions and operational manuals
* Commissioning activities in accordance with contract and time schedule
* Demonstration of plant performance (final acceptance)
Requirements for this Position
To qualify for this role, you will need:
* A technical background (university/master level) in mechanical or process engineering
* Excellent English skills, high willingness for business trips
* Experience in mineral processing/beneficiation industry is an advantage

Additional Information
The minimum annual gross salary for this position under the collective agreement and assuming that all requirements are met is EUR 52,197.04 (F/00) or EUR 61,022.78 (G/00). This could rise considerably, depending on qualifications and experience.
