Responsibilities:
1. Develop an understanding of the specific mechanical engineering requirements per project
2. Study and become familiar with the elementary system drawings
3. Conveyor manifests
4. Knowledgeable of equipment

7. Provide technical interface with customer’s project representative(s)

23. Develop, maintain, and assist with creating a mechanical engineering schedule that provides timely delivery of material to fully support an installation schedule.
24. Thorough grasp of project contract documents including clarifications and exceptions. Execute the project within the budget and hours in the contract estimate.
25. Provide extensive technical support for Project Engineers, vendors, field installation personnel, and engineering sub-contractors as related to inquiries
26. Host weekly meetings with project team members and customers
27. Delegate and monitor tasks given to project engineers and other engineering team members on regular cadence
28. Assist Procurement with ordering long lead items
29. Maintain project-specific requirements while applying general knowledge of conveying systems, conveying equipment and customer general specifications and standards
30. Help Project Engineers interpret and ensure compliance to customer specifications.
31. Communicate project specific information with other departments
32. Release drawings for installation and fabrication
33. Create material purchase requests
34. Relate information regarding changes to scope of work for the project as they occur
35. Communicate status updates to engineering management on a regular cadence
36. Be cognoscente of areas for professional development, cost reduction, quality improvements and enhanced customer service.
37. Check drawings provided by mechanical designers for accuracy and provide feedback for corrections as needed.
38. Perform or assist in directing engineering analysis as determined by project needs

50. Estimate mechanical hours and support with change orders
51. Experience with Microsoft Office, such as Outlook and Excel are required
52. Familiar with AutoCAD and Inventor, Navisworks, and BIM is a plus
53. Experience with Microsoft Project is a plus
Education and Experience:
54. Six to ten years of material handling equipment experience preferably within the conveyor systems industry
55. Experience with executing and supporting multiple mid to large projects
56. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in mechanical engineering and design
Travel Requirements:
Some international travel required +/- 15%. Depends on project needs and urgency.
