You are part of a central team responsible for providing Subject Matter Expert (SME) knowledge and engineering services to internal and external customers in the area of safety critical Network and IT infrastructure You are responsible for solution design and system builds, in cooperation with a project Technical Solution Managers or Solution Architects You are responsible for the operation, support and maintenance of customer systems within the service lifecycle Key Task IT Generalist focused on Linux: IT Generalist with practical experience designing, implementing, and maintaining complex enterprise IT environments Expert Linux Engineer with knowledge of RHEL and SELinux Experience in security engineering and system hardening Knowledge of industry Cybersecurity standards such as CIS, NIST, BSI Experience with Zabbix, OpenSearch, Wazuh or similar Open Source monitoring and logging solutions Professional experience in the field of IT infrastructure in at least two of the following areas: Virtualization (VMware) Public Cloud (Azure, AWS) Kubernetes & Red Hat OpenShift Expert with scripting languages e.g. bash, python Expert with automation tools Ansible and Terraform Familiar with GitOps tools and principles You enjoy travelling (up to 30%) and have no issues with being on call when required Key Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field (or equivalent work experience) Proven experience (5+ years) in field of expertise Technology based certification e.g. RHEL, Azure (preferred) Excellent communication, analytical, problem solving & interpersonal skills Self-motivated for continuous learning and improvement Very good knowledge of German and English (written and spoken) Our Values Around 2.300 employees at Frequentis are committed to creating a safer world with their innovative strength and technology orientation.
