Wendy’s Hamburgers has officially landed down under, opening the doors to our very first flagship store in Australia. We’re on the hunt for a dedicated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our very first Australian team. In this position, you will play a key role in making sure every customer experience is exceptional.
Your Role:
Working closely with the General Manager, you’ll manage day-to-day operations, support your team, and drive our restaurant’s success from the ground up. This is a pivotal role for a driven, hands-on leader who’s ready to make an impact.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support & Lead: Lead a team of Shift Supervisors and Crew Members to deliver outstanding customer service, manage performance, and maintain smooth daily operations.
* Drive Excellence: Execute company policies and procedures to ensure food quality, service standards, and efficiency are met and consistently exceeded.
* Community Connections: Build relationships within the local community, creating a welcoming environment that brings Wendy’s values to life.
* Safety & Compliance: Support WHS practices, ensuring all employees are trained and follow food and workplace safety standards.
* Recruit & Train: Help recruit, train, and develop team members, fostering a team that’s as dedicated as you are to delivering the best.
* Manage Costs & Quality: Oversee food quality and costs to ensure customers receive a great product without compromising on budget targets.
* Support Growth: Assist the General Manager in tracking goals, handling challenges, and leading with an eye on growth and consistent results.

* Financially minded with experience in budget management and P&L oversight.
* Level-headed, with the ability to handle challenging situations calmly and effectively.
* Knowledgeable in food safety and compliance standards.
