Senior Project Manager for Agglomeration and Direct Reduction (f/m/*)
What are my responsibilities?
Our department I&S PM (Iron & Steelmaking, Project Management) is responsible for the project execution in the field of Agglomeration and Direct Reduction.
We provide highest project management expertise and are responsible for the execution from contract award till closure of the project with the mission to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.
The Agglomeration and Direct Reduction portfolio includes ore beneficiation, sinter- and pelletizing-plants as well as the Midrex DRI/HBI-plants.
Given that the use of pelletizing- and DRI/HBI-plants is expected to continue to grow due to the need to the strong demand to decarbonize the steel sector, we are strengthening our team with a Senior Project Manager for the execution of large and complex projects.
The following tasks are key for the job:
1. You live full responsibility for the successful implementation of your projects.
2. You manage the project within the defined financial-, quality- and schedule-targets.
3. You identify additional opportunities out of the ongoing project. You negotiate with stakeholders on change requests and incorporate them into contracts.
4. You manage the project risks by identifying and assessing all risk factors utilizing available risk assessment tools.
5. You monitor continuously the project status, early identify discrepancies, and initiate mitigation measures where necessary.
6. You work with your team. You agree targets with the team and delegate defined responsibilities and authorities.
7. You ensure compliance to valid regulations, rules and standards.
8. You ensure efficient communication with all relevant stakeholders.
9. You drive the project closure and ensure that all relevant information is filed and available for future projects.
What do I need to qualify for this job?
10. Secondary school with a technical or engineering focus
11. 5+ years management experience of complex construction and plant building projects
12. Advanced knowledge of engineering and business unit related technology to understand technical implications
13. Advanced knowledge in project management methods and tools, know-how of contract law and regulations for project business
14. Work experience in international teams
15. Willingness for travels and site delegations
16. Advanced knowledge in English and German

What else do I need to know?
The minimum annual gross salary for this position under the collective agreement and assuming that all requirements are met is EUR 58.788,80 (G/00). This could rise considerably, depending on qualifications and experience.
