The Senior Stores Controller is a self-motivated person who has a high level of knowledge and skill in the store’s areas. This person should also be required to supervise and lead by example in customer service, work quality and work ethics. The purpose of the Depot's Store is to provide oversight of the City's stock items and materials.
Being an innovative member of the Fleet and Waste Services Business Unit, the Stores Senior Controller will have strong negotiation skills to respond to internal and external customer requirements and issues, as well as obtaining the best value outcomes for the Fleet and Waste Services Business Unit.
The ability to exercise good professional judgement on a wide range of operational issues, including occupational health and safety matters is essential in this role.
Depot Stores are responsible for the procurement of personal protective equipment (PPE), chemicals, parts and other sundry items at the City. This also includes the materials located in the yard at Jack Mann Oval.
Reporting to the Supervisor – Business Support Fleet & Waste, the main function of the Senior Store Controller is to provide procurement, contract management, administrative and customer services for the City's depot stores, chemical shed, fuel station and the City’s bulk materials storage yards.
About you
The successful candidate will have the following:
* Current forklift ticket and high-risk work licence
* A satisfactory National Police Certificate is required
* Experience in the day to day operations of an equipment and goods store
* Knowledge of stores issuing/receivable/stock control processes
* Understanding of stores administrative procedures, systems and processes
