Job Purpose/Background
Are you passionate about servicing clients and exceeding their expectations? In this position, you will be able to put all your skills to work and help develop existing relationships and growth of the client book in Austria. Our Wealth and Institutional Sales Team based in Vienna promotes the full spectrum of BlackRock / iShares / Private Markets products, solutions, and services to Wealth, Asset Managers, and Institutional Investors. Our clients are based in Austria.
The position will be based in Vienna as part of the Austria & Central Eastern Europe Sales Team.
Key responsibilities include:
* As an Analyst Relationship Manager, you will help build connections with our client groups; support improving and growing sales across our platform, including mutual funds, alternatives, ETFs, and bespoke solutions, in order to deliver aspirational financial results measured by AUM, net new assets, and revenue targets.
* Support the development and execution of account strategies jointly with the team- or account lead.
* Support senior team members as needed, for example by making presentations, researching, sourcing data, and talking points before meetings and communicating with clients professionally and excellently on their behalf.
* Coordinate and deliver complex client due diligence meetings that may involve working with various internal stakeholders and creating bespoke materials/presentations.
* Partner with subject matter specialists and senior leadership across the functions to prioritize partner demands.
* Handle day-to-day business flow and deliver service excellence (pre-trade guidance, product comparisons, cost analytics, client holding analysis).
* Follow all regulatory and legal standards.
* Collaborate and share information with other Wealth and Institutional sales teams globally.
* Contribute to the delivery of the annual target of net new assets, generated from existing and new clients.
* Support delivering product presentations to clients via phone, video conferences, and office visits.
* Arrange client meetings and conference calls with Portfolio Managers or Product Specialists.
* Organize road shows, events & seminars in partnership with the Marketing and Event Management team.
Knowledge/Experience:
* 0-3 years' experience for Analyst level candidates.
* In-depth knowledge about asset management and financial products, especially actively managed funds, Private Markets, and ETFs - preferably with validated experience in selling investment products to sophisticated investors and handling client relationships.
* Willingness to gradually take account ownership and strategically develop relationships; position investment ideas and other valuable services generating sales and assets.
* Strong understanding of capital markets and the Wealth and Institutional landscape.
* Outgoing nature who puts client-interest first and loves to work in a highly dynamic and ambitious environment.
* The individual must be an upbeat self-starter with professional pride and a dedication to perfection and improvement; she or he is a standout colleague with a "can-do" attitude and a pragmatic flexibility; further, the successful candidate will be organized and entrepreneurial, possessing outstanding verbal and written communication skills in German and English.
Skills / Qualifications:
* University degree in business administration, economics, finance, or in another field.
* CFA, CIIA, and/or CAIA would be of advantage but not a precondition.
* Shown ability to handle complex projects involving different business groups and to assist the business in implementing solutions across the broad range of BlackRock products and services.
* Excellent research and analytical skills.
* Extensive experience in MS Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
