About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Change Lead to join our Finance Modernisation Program.

Under the Enterprise Project Management Office, Swinburne’s change practice effectively manages and leads change initiatives. The Finance Modernisation Program (FMP) is a significant project aimed at upgrading Swinburne’s finance system. The Change Lead, reporting to the Deputy Director, Portfolio Delivery, will manage this transformation by preparing, equipping, and supporting individuals through the change journey. This role involves designing, delivering, and managing internal change activities, communication, training, and engagement, while liaising with internal stakeholders and external consultants to develop a suitable change plan.
About You
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:
1. Define and shape change needs: Identify and outline the change requirements for the Finance Modernisation Program within the university, applying a structured change methodology throughout the project lifecycle.
2. Develop and implement plans: Create actionable deliverables for change management, including communications, sponsor roadmap, coaching, training, and resistance management plans. Develop a comprehensive communications and engagement plan.
3. Assess and strategize: Evaluate the scope and impact of changes to determine a suitable change strategy. Conduct training needs analysis and develop relevant training materials.
4. Build relationships and networks: Establish change networks and build strong relationships with stakeholders, including senior leaders and project teams. Manage stakeholder resistance and ensure user readiness.
5. Integrate and track: Integrate change management activities into the project plan, track change adoption and effectiveness, and report issues. Identify and prepare risk mitigation tactics.
6. Support and improve: Support senior leaders, consult with the project team, and drive business change aligned with organizational strategy. Commit to teamwork, maintain a supportive work environment, and continuously seek improvements.
Qualifications: A postgraduate degree level qualification in a relevant discipline with subsequent relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
