Internship - IT Governance / DORA (all genders)

Erste Asset Management coordinates and is responsible for all asset management activities of Erste Group and is in charge of assets amounting to more than EUR 68 billion. More than 400 employees develop and manage investment solutions for our investors in 7 different countries. We launched the first environmental fund in Austria 20 years ago - at a time when the topic was still a niche. Today, we manage more than EUR 17 billion in sustainability (as of 31.12.2023) and place sustainability at the heart of our business activities.
EAM IT develops and operates IT solutions and services. These include fund management systems such as SimCorp, data warehouse/reporting solutions and web-based applications. EAM IT is responsible for the entire IT project portfolio at Erste Asset Management, owns a central IT Governance and acts as the interface between the business departments of Erste Asset Management and the IT departments of Erste Digital as well as external vendors.
In this context we are looking for students in our IT department.
As an Intern you will work in close co-operation with the Head of IT and project teams on the following tasks:
* Contribute to implementation of “DORA” (Digital Operational resilience Act) project
* Support in standardizing IT Delivery processes over the project lifecycle (e.g. test processes, etc.)
* Prepare and update IT Governance documents (Process Manuals, IT policies, User Manuals, etc.)
* Get in touch with a wide range of technologies and business processes
In this role, you will have the opportunity to learn from our team members and can also bring in your own new ideas that will help us to grow and improve.
Your background
* Enrolled master student with on-going program at University (University / FH)
* Solid IT background (e.g. Bachelor of Business Informatics)
* Interest in gaining deeper understanding of Asset & Wealth Management business
* Strong analytical thinking and ability to think outside of the box
* Excellent Microsoft Office skills, SQL is a plus
* Organizational talent to coordinate different tasks and smaller initiatives
* Strong communication skills and ability to adapt quickly to new challenges
* Passion for teamwork and continuous learning
* Curious, believing in a growth mindset and treating all people with respect
* Fluent in English, German is a plus
