It covers all steps of the value chain in iron and steel production from raw materials to finished products as well as state-of-the-art rolling mill solutions for non-ferrous metals.
We are looking for a Technical Manager for Iron & Steelmaking Projects (m/f/d) at our client in Linz.
Your New Challenge
You analyze technical documents (e.g. manufacturing standards) and commercial terms (e.g. packing and logistics conditions) given in the customer contract relevant to your equipment.
* You prepare project-related tender documents for your equipment in coordination with the engineering and technology department.
* You ensure that tender documents are issued on time to potential suppliers for preparing their bids.
* You select the best supplier under consideration of project requirements in close cooperation with the purchasing department and project management.
* You closely track supplier progress, ensure right expediting & quality activities are conducted, and initiate mitigation measures where necessary.
* You involve the logistics department to ensure timely shipment of your equipment to the building site.
* You coordinate preparation of customer documentation for quality, delivery, erection, commissioning, and maintenance.
* You support the site team for erection and commissioning issues.
* You actively contribute to claim management for your equipment in close coordination with purchasing department.
* You contribute in the project closure and lessons learned.
Your Qualifications
* Technical education (e.g. mechanical engineering, industrial engineering)
* Professional experience in adequate technical functions (e.g. technology, engineering, installation) is an advantage
* Basic knowledge in project management methods and tools, know-how of contract law and regulations for project business
* Work experience in international teams preferred
* Willingness for international travels and for site delegations
* Advanced knowledge in English and German
* Initiative and self-motivated
* High integrity in dealing with others
Our Offer
Gross annual salary according to collective agreement: minimum EUR 46,614.68
Depending on education, qualifications, and experience, a significant overpayment is possible.
