We MICHAEL PAGE are excited to be partnered with a leading hotel group who are seeking a General Manager (f/m/d). The successful candidate will have strong experience within the world of hospitality and be experienced in leading a high performing team in a GM function of an international hotel brand.
What We're Looking For
* Leadership Accountability: Oversee all hotel operations, ensuring high service standards and profitability, with a hands-on leadership approach.
* Experience: Proven track record managing a hotel, ideally at an upscale level, with a focus on customer service in a competitive market.
* Team Management: Lead, motivate, and develop staff, ensuring a positive, harmonious work environment and staff well-being.
* Operational Oversight: Manage all departments, with a key focus on repositioning the hotel. Prior experience across operational areas and several years as a General Manager is beneficial.
* Profit Maximisation: Drive sales, optimise revenue, and seize strategic growth opportunities while ensuring an outstanding guest experience.
* Dynamic Commercial: Strong understanding of sales and marketing strategies to elevate the hotel's market position.
* Collaborative: Engage effectively with management and ownership, providing high-quality business insights.
* Networking: Build strong relationships across the industry, promoting the hotel locally and internationally.
Your Key Focus Points
* Repositioning the Hotel: Lead the strategic repositioning of the hotel post-refurbishment to establish it as a premier destination within the local market, enhancing its brand presence and attracting a diverse clientele.
* Revenue Growth: Maximise revenue across all key areas - Food Beverage, Spa, Leisure, and Rooms. Lead strategic monthly reviews and stay ahead of market trends.
* Operational Excellence: Ensure top-level service and brand standards, conducting regular audits for safety, cleanliness, and maintenance.
* Team Development: Foster a performance-driven culture, ensuring staff development, performance reviews, and compliance with company policies.
* Financial Management: Prepare and manage budgets, control costs, and optimise profitability through careful planning and forecasting.
* Health Safety: Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, fire protocols, and food policies while maintaining up-to-date training and risk assessments.
* Bachelor's or Master's in Hotel Management or related field preferred.
* Minimum of five years' hotel experience, with at least three in a senior management role.
* Proven leadership, people management, and financial acumen in the hospitality industry.
* Fluent in English with excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Positive, outgoing leader with a commitment to operational excellence.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive under pressure.
* This job role requries you to have the right to work in the European Union (EU).
An excellent work enviroment within a leading hotel group. The salary package depends on previous experiences gained and starts from 75.000 EUR base salary plus bonus and benefits.
