Your New Challenge
We are seeking a Lead Engineer for Continuous Casting to join our team immediately.
You will be responsible for ensuring that plant engineering/performance complies with contractual requirements (e.g., schedule, technical completeness, technical standards, technical interfaces, operation, maintenance, safety requirements).
You will coordinate technical interfaces among engineering disciplines and associated plant areas and other involved parties (e.g., schedule, technical completeness, technical standards, technical interfaces, safety planning).
You will support technical clarifications with the customer and other involved stakeholders (e.g., customer consultants, consortium partners, approval agencies, suppliers, and manufacturers).
You will conduct regular engineering team meetings (in coordination with project management).
You will support procurement, manufacturing, installation, cold and hot commissioning planning, and execution activities.
You will ensure the execution of design requirement (R1) review.
You will monitor the execution of the review process (R3, R5, TLLR or plant review reviews).
You will monitor engineering compliance to safety requirements and contribute to risk assessments (e.g., HAZOP).
You will ensure structured engineering change management (e.g., documentation, schedule, and cost impact, lessons learned).
You will coordinate the preparation of the overall project engineering standard documents.
You will coordinate and support the technical sales department in finding solutions in the pre-project phase.
Your Competencies
* HTL, FH, or technical university degree
* MS software, Autocad 2D, 3D design program (e.g., Inventor)
* Experience in mechanical/plant engineering (mechanical equipment)
* Self-organization and independent work
* Several years of professional experience in the steel mill or plant engineering sector
* Willingness to work abroad and high ability to work in a team while accepting cultural differences
* German and English, able to communicate both verbally and in writing
Our Offer
The minimum annual gross salary for this position under the collective agreement and assuming all requirements are met is EUR 46,614.68.
This could rise considerably, depending on qualifications and experience.
